Philly Cheesesteak Garlic Bread

Description

Philly Cheesesteak Garlic Bread is the ultimate fusion of flavors, combining the rich, buttery goodness of garlic bread with the savory, melty goodness of a classic Philly cheesesteak.

Ingredients

garlic butter

philly cheesesteak

Instructions

Garlic Buter

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Cut the tops off the garlic bulbs and shallots. Drizzle them with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Wrap them in foil and roast in the oven for 1 hour, until softened and fragrant.

  3. Once roasted, allow the garlic and shallots to cool slightly. Squeeze the roasted garlic cloves and shallots into a bowl, discarding the skins.

  4. Add the softened butter and chopped parsley to the bowl. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Set the garlic butter aside.

Philly Cheesesteak

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a splash of olive oil.

  2. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper and sauté until they are soft and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add a bit more olive oil if needed, then add the thinly sliced ribeye steak. Season with onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, smoked paprika, chicken bouillon powder, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until the steak is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. Add the sautéed onions and bell peppers back into the skillet with the steak. Stir to combine and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat.

Assembly

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) if not already done.

  2. Cut the Italian loaf in half lengthwise. Spread the garlic butter evenly over both halves of the bread.

  3. Spoon the cooked ribeye, onion, and pepper mixture generously over the garlic buttered bread.

  4. Top with shredded or sliced mozzarella or provolone cheese, covering the meat and vegetables completely.

  5. Place the assembled garlic bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.

  6. Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, then slice and serve warm. Enjoy your delicious Philly Cheesesteak Garlic Bread!
